It’s feelings of unworthiness that bar and block the way
From a relationship with God that celebrates Father’s Day.
He wants to toss a ball with you and picnic in the park.
He yearns to see your face when you watch fireworks at dark.
He longs to take you fishing with no concern of what you’ll catch.
He just wants to spend time with you, nothing else would ever match.
He wants a direct connection, for you to know Him personally.
You were born worthy and worthy is what you’ll forever be.
It’s illusions of unworthiness that bar and block the way
From a relationship with God that celebrates Father’s Day.
He wants to teach you how to drive and how to shake a hand.
He yearns to teach you “letting go” and when to take a stand.
He desires to see you happy and He wants you to succeed.
He wants to share His wisdom and be everything you need.
He wants a direct connection, for you to know Him personally.
You were born worthy and worthy is what you’ll forever be.
