Remedies for the Spirit

My Child

You can have my jacket if ever you are cold.

You can have my time, I’ll put my dreams on hold.

You can have my dinner if ever you need fed.

You can have my ”more”, I’ll take less instead.

Sacrifice and love, much too young to know.

What I wouldn’t give, just how far I’d go.

Stand upon my shoulders, step upon my knee.

Climb higher on the mountain, as supposed to be.

You can have my money if ever you need shoes.

You can have my insight if you should ever choose.

You can have my prayers any time, any day.

You can have my life, no price I wouldn’t pay.

Sacrifice and love, much too young to know.

What I wouldn’t give, just how far I’d go.

Stand upon my shoulders, step upon my knee.

Climb higher on the mountain, as supposed to be.
